Guessingame is a free browser site for daily guessing games. The first game is Farflung, a geography expedition with five clues, five country pins and a rarity score. More games will follow when they are ready, not before.
Why the name works
Guessingame is a portmanteau of guessing and game. It is not a misspelling of “guessing game” and it is not a brand borrowed from another site. The name describes the category plainly: a game about guessing, made for people who enjoy the moment before the answer is certain.
What we are trying to do
Most daily game sites grow by adding games quickly. We are starting the other way around: one game, a complete daily loop, a readable archive and a practice mode that does not cheapen the daily result. The next game will be added when it can meet the same standard.
Every answer is checked against the country data used by the map. Every archive page keeps a short country fact so the page has a reason to exist beyond the answer. The rarity values live in one configuration file, and the game, the scoring table and the answer pages read the same values.
An unofficial fan site
Guessingame is not affiliated with Farflung LLC. Farflung is a game made by other people, and its official home is farflung.game. We are a fan site with our own prompt bank, our own implementation and our own archive. If you want the official daily expedition, play it there.
The footer statement on every page is deliberate: Guessingame is an unofficial fan site and is not affiliated with Farflung LLC. It is not a disclaimer tucked into a legal page; it is part of the site’s identity.
How games are chosen
A game has to be playable in a browser without an account, readable on a phone, and interesting for more than one round. It also has to have a reason to come back: a daily set, an archive or a practice mode. A game that only works once is a demo, not a daily habit.
