This policy explains how Guessingame handles information when you use the site. It covers the game, the archive, the contact email and the advertising that may appear on some pages.
What the game stores in your browser
The daily game stores your current expedition progress and your result in local storage under a key that includes the expedition date. This lets you close the page and come back without losing the round. The data stays in your browser; it is not sent to a server.
The site may also store a cookie consent choice and simple interface preferences. Clearing your browser storage removes these values.
Advertising and third party vendors
If advertising is enabled, third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of some third party vendors’ use of cookies by visiting aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland may see a consent prompt before optional cookies are set.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, it is used to understand which pages are useful and which games need work. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors. Analytics scripts are loaded only when consent is required and given, or when the configured deployment does not require a prompt.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to processing, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Guessingame does not sell personal information. To make a request, email hello@guessingame.org.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the contact email, write to us and we will delete it.
